Quickfire Calendar Designs for Minted

Wow, now that’s fast! Minted is hosting another design competition, but this time we only had essentially a weekend to do it. I worked part of the day on Saturday and came up with a few designs I really liked for the Minted Quickfire Calendar Challenge. Design submissions end Tuesday and voting will only be open one day, on Wednesday. Then they will be for sale the following week. I’ll let you know how things go! Wow! LMK which one is your favorite! Halloween Owl Mask- DIY Printable

If you’re looking for a last minute Halloween Costume, look no further! This is a super easy Owl Mask that will take you from plain old “you” to super cool “owl”. I’ve included two different sizes, so feel free to print one for both you and your daughter. I would love to see pictures of how they turn out!

This mask is for personal use only and not for resale. Enjoy!

Newborn Baby Photography-Baby Nyles

I don’t really consider myself a photographer, but I sure enjoy pretending like I am. I had the opportunity this past week to take pictures of my nephew, Nyles. He is my sister’s first baby and can I just say she did a great job! Isn’t he a cutie! He was cute from the day he was born. I also took a few pictures of him at the hospital. He did have quite a cone head, but you’d never know w/ that cute little hat on.

Here’s a few of my favorite photos. I got all of the blankets and baskets from Pier 1. There were so many choices there as far as texture. I love that store. And the cute little green and striped baby cocoon was made by my Grandma. Isn’t it cute? I can’t wait until I have another little one and Grandma makes me one of those. Let me know what you think of my first photo shoot ever with a newborn. I’ve tried before, but I didn’t have the proper lighting or lens. I used my new 50mm lens and a few photoshop filters from Paint the Moon. I think most of these were the Vanilla Pop from the Paint the Moon Series for free. You can download them too from her site. She has some great filters. I also made sure to put the baby next to a large window where there was lots of natural light coming in. I feel that between these few things I was able to accomplish some pretty good photos. Tell me what you think and if you have any tips on how to take great photos of newborns?

Petite Lemon Halloween Shirts!

Petite Lemon is such a great company to work for! Not only do I get to design for them, but now my daughter, Charlotte, is one of their models. Ha. So funny to say that. She’s the one in the fedora. Isn’t she a cutie?

Some of the T-shirts that I designed for Halloween are now available for purchase. But hurry, you only have until October 15th to get them by Halloween. Wouldn’t these make the cutest Halloween treats for your kids. So cute! Which one is your favorite!
